CONSTRUCTION AND DELIVERY
We’re constantly adapting to meet the needs of our clients. We know one size doesn’t really fit all, so we assess exactly what you need and create a solution that works uniquely for you.
HOW WE GET IT DONE
We’ll look at your project’s complexity, scale, and schedule to determine the best construction delivery method, and use our flexible options to accommodate any unusual or special project needs. Our methods include:
Engineer-Procure-Construct (EPC)
EPC involves partnerships between top-notch engineering firms to offer complete services, including buying major equipment that the owner doesn’t have to purchase separately.
Construction Management (CM)
For this method (which includes both CM Agency and CM-at-Risk), we’ll get involved early to manage the overall construction using our multiple disciplines. We support the design architect and add to their capabilities during the project.
Collaborative Project Delivery and Integrated Project Delivery (IPD)
By working together from the project’s beginning and using collaborative practices (including Lean practices) that save time and money, we help owners, architects, engineers, and contractors make projects more efficient.
Design-Build
We’ll use a single contract between the owner and the design-build team to make things simpler and more efficient. It saves money and time by turning the relationship between designers and builders into a close partnership that encourages working together.
General Contracting
Also called Design-Bid-Build, this delivery method involves a competitive bid process to hire prequalified subcontractors and also includes self-performing appropriate scopes.
Program Management
We’ll act like part of the owner’s team, helping you manage every aspect of your project. From pre-design to post-construction, we’re there every step of the way.

Saddlebrook Solar
Alltrade constructed the Saddlebrook Solar Project in a joint venture partnership with SkyFire Energy Inc. This fixed tilt solar system will generate enough electricity to power roughly 20,000 homes and sits on nearly 330 acres of repurposed industrial zoned land.
Scotford Solar
The 81 MWDC Scotford solar project will power a top global oil producer’s refinery complex to support the company in achieving its goal of net zero emissions by 2050. Located in Alberta’s industrial heartland, the project is the first large-scale solar installation in the region.
Brooks II Solar
Brooks Solar II builds on the success of Brooks Solar, Western Canada’s first utility-scale solar project. The 27.5 MWAC/32.8 MWDC project spans 160 acres of land and has 2 – 25kV Fortis interconnections.
Elmira Battery Energy Storage
Alltrade was the constructor for NextEra Energy’s Elmira 8MWH Battery Energy Storage System. Alltrade was also selected as the EPC for the facility augmentation requirements in 2022.
Henvey Inlet Wind Substations
Alltrade completed the electrical and civil installation for the two 230kV substations at the Henvey Inlet Wind project. Henvey Inlet is the largest wind project in Ontario, and the third largest in Canada at 300 MW, powering 100,000 Ontario homes.
South Falls Generating Station
This project involved the replacement of a 100-year-old turbine with a new, efficient one that is more than double the generating capacity of the original.
Eglinton Light Rail Transit
The Eglinton Crosstown Light Rail Transit (LRT) project is the largest public transit project in Canada. The LRT will provide fast and reliable transit along Eglinton Avenue, helping to reduce congestion by adding 25 stations running east-west along Eglinton. It represents the single biggest expansion of urban rapid transit in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area in more than half a century
Hazel McCallion (Hurontario) Light Rail Transit
The Hazel McCallion (Hurontario) Light Rail Transit (LRT) will provide 18 km of rapid transit with 19 stops on a dedicated right-of-way and will link to GO Stations at Port Credit and Cooksville, the Mississauga Transitway, Square One GO Bus Terminal, Brampton Gateway Terminal, and key MiWay and Brampton Transit routes.
Finch West Light Rail Transit
The Finch West Light Rail Transit (LRT) project brought an additional 11 km and 18 stops of public transit, and renewed aging infrastructure to the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area. The Finch West LRT also reduced traffic congestion, greenhouse gasses, and fuel consumption and improved quality of life for commuters by reducing daily travel time. The line features accessible platforms, improved streetscapes, and cycling infrastructure.
Ottawa Confederation Line Light Rail Transit
The Confederation Line Light Rail Transit (LRT) project was Ottawa’s largest single infrastructure project since the building of the Rideau Canal. Alltrade completed the installation of all poles, cantilevers, rigid rail, and overhead catenary conductor for the mainline and the maintenance and storage facility Overhead Catenary System (OCS).
Schaeffler Battery Energy Storage
This project was implemented by Schaeffler Canada as part of the Global adjustment (GA) reduction under the Industrial Conservation Initiative (ICI) to curb peak energy demand.
NextStar Energy EV Battery Manufacturing Plant
This new plant will be Canada’s first large-scale electric vehicle battery manufacturing plant, and Alltrade is excited to provide our services for design-build and construction.
